Maverick Mountain Resort Reduced by $100,000

23rd November 2012

After being on the market for a number of years, the Maverick Mountain Ski Area in Montana has been reduced from $950,000 to $850,000. The resort's current owner, Randy Shilling, is looking to sell the resort after owning it for over 20 years.

Plans have been approved by the Forest Service to expand the area, including building a second chairlift. Maverick isn't the only area looking to resort, four new subdivisions have also been approved in the last year, meaning the Grasshopper Valley could become a popular American ski area.

If you can afford to stump the cash, you'd better make sure you still have some money in the bank, as the resort doesn't generate much income, and the planned expansions are going to need some serious financial investment.
