Although most people think of paella and beaches when you mention Spain, there is in fact some great skiing to be had there as well.
Spanish ski resorts are considered some of the friendliest in Europe and also the most laid back. The slopes won't be busy first thing in the morning, as the Spanish skiiers and boarders prefer a later start - probably due to the fact the apres scene often doesn't start until midnight! If you're working in Spain, this will mean if you can sneak to the mountain before breakfast, you'll have the slopes to yourself, but on the downside, you'll probably be leaving the bar before the party gets going on work nights. If you're lucky enough to get a job in Sierra Nevada, you'll also be able to split your time between the beach and mountains, as due to the resort's altitude, they'll still be snow on the mountains when it's warm enough at sea level for a quick dip in the Med!
So if you're looking for snow, beaches, good food in a laid back atmosphere, get a winter season job in Spain and you'll soon be saying "Viva La Espania"!
